On February - 24 - 2009

Sony’s Black Behemoth has completed it’s second full year of entertainment and recently as reported by Sony has sold more than 21 million consoles worldwide. The Playstation 3 has offered up some incredible gaming and blu-ray movie quality experiences since launch and is looking to have an even bigger year in 2009. For those new Playstation 3 users looking for the best gaming experience the system has to offer we decided to compile the best overall games during the systems 2 year existence. We also decided that 10 is almost unfair enlight of all the great PS3 hits, we added 10 additional runner-up titles that probably should be in our top 10. We’ll let you all be the judge.
BTW, these games are not in any best to least order, so the numerical value attached to the specific game has no value. These are just our Top 10 with 10 additional runner-ups. Enjoy!

THE ONLY ONE I WOULD DISAGREE WITH IS RAINBOW SIX BUT AFTER PLAYING COD, YOU TRULY SEE THAT THIS GAME IS NOT UP TO PAR. ITS AN OK SHOOTER BUT NOT NOTEWORTHY ENOUGH TO BE MENTIONED IN ANY TOP GAMES LIST.
WHAT ABOUT GUITAR HERO?

For my experience with both Guitar Hero and Rock Band, RB gets the edge. Guitar Hero is nice no doubt but RB took Guitar Hero to a higher level. There is almost too much content for RB. I’m surprised you weren’t feeling R6V2. Co-op wise I had a blast. However COD4 is in a whole different league.

Rainbow six was coo but it was just to slow and the graphics aren’t that great.

WHAT ABOUT FALLOUT 3?!?! I HAVE YET TO PLAY IT BUT I HAVE READ ALOT OF GREAT REVIEWS ON THIS GAME. THE GAMEINFORMER GAVE IT A 9.5, WHICH IS ACTUALLY THE HIGHEST RATING OVER ALL THE GAMES MENTIONED ABOVE (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF LITTLE BIG PLANET AND METAL GEAR). ” SO YOU GOT SOME PLANIN’TO DO LUCY” LOL

LOL!! You make a great point. Fallout 3 is without a doubt an engaging title however after playing it I found that I enjoyed Oblivion: Elder Scroll IV a lot more. I personally would give not Fallout 3 a 9.5. So based on what it offers I chose to go with Oblivion on the Top 10 list instead.

I guess I’ll have to play both games to see where you are coming from.

It really is a toss up. Fallout 3 has a more real-life feel to it while Oblivion is drenched in fantasy. There are of course other caveats to mention but in the end I am more in favor of Oblivion. In my opinion I think you might like Fallout 3 more. But remember these games are not the type of game that will be completed in 10 - 15 hours. You are looking at easily 20 to 30 hours no doubt, and that’s if you stick straight to the story. These next-gen RPG’s are no joke!
