For all of you Army of Two fans, you should be proud to know that EA Montreal is developing the sequel to the co-op military shooter, Army of Two: The 40th day.

According to EA;

“When a disaster of epic proportions strikes Shanghai, China, Rios and Salem find themselves right in the middle of it all-the wrong place, the wrong time, but the right team. A carefully orchestrated series of mysterious catastrophes is dragging Shanghai to the brink of ruin, and now the Army of Two must fight their way through ravaged city districts as they try to beat the odds and uncover the secret of the 40th Day.”

EA promises a bigger playbook of Co-op moves that either player can use at any time, which is an improvement from the original. The game is set to be released on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC and PSP this winter, but unfortunately no specifics were confirmed

Word on the street is that EA will focus more attention on their core brands and look to create more sequels to its existing franchises.

  3. Shadowolf Said,

    No doubt! Playing the campaign alone was not bad, but not great either. Army of Two is a lot of playing together with your friends. I really enjoyed it with a buddy of mine.
