Prior to the release of the Playstation 2, sega’ s own Dreamcast dominated sales charts. With games such as Shenmue, Crazy Taxi, House of the Dead, etc.., really helped pushed Dreamcast to forefront of gaming. October 26, 2000 Sony released the “Optimus Prime” of video game consoles, PlayStation 2. In no time the PlayStation relieved the Dreamcast of its number one spot.

Well it seems as if the Ghost of Dreamcast has come back to haunt its one time nemesis PS2.  To capitalize in our economic trying times, online retailers have been selling brand new Dreamcast for $99, the identical price of the Ps2. Unfortunately, video game retail stores are not selling the Dreamcast games however EBAY and other online retailers are selling used games.
