MEMPHIS COY: International Super-Model Fashions New Career In Theater

My main man Memphis Coy in the truest of fashion is doing his thing on stage but not as an international supermodel, this time its theatre. He is promoting the World Premiere of a new play by former Hollywood insider Donnie F. Wilson, who for more than 10 years worked as publicist to NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal. He and Memphis Coy have collaborated on this effort to create a stage play about a world famous supermodel with a narcissistic personality disorder.
Wilson’s dramady (comedy/drama) which is loosely based on the life of the mysterious Memphis Coy, is inspired by the Greek mythology of Narcissus and is a combination of observations of pop cultures most famous personalities all rolled up into one.
“It’s kinda like my tell-all without the humiliation,” says Wilson who draws from his varying degrees of encounters with celebrities from Janet Jackson, George Clooney, Jamie Foxx and Arnold Schwarzenegger to Queen Latifah, Kelsey Grammer, Kobe Bryant and Tom Arnold just to name a few.
I myself plan to be front and center for this production to support my man Memphis who is really committed to this endeavor.
The Mythical Memphis Coy: Or Just Another Metrosexual? opens Friday, October 23, at 8 p.m. at HCG Gallery in Dallas. The play runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 23 through November 1. Friday and Saturday performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinee performances at 2:30 p.m. For more information visit donniefwilson.com.
