Come December 17th Final Fantasy XIII will releasing in Japan exclusively on the PS3

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is inviting PS3 users to the new Winter Wonderland space starting December 10th. Hanging out with Santa and his elves seems like it should be a lot of fun as you’ll be able to assist in Christmas preparation via mini-games.

There will be plenty to do, so make sure you keep coming back frequently to find out what Santa and his elves need next. You wouldn’t want to miss out on opening a present, or taking part in one of the task mini-games, now would you? While you’re there make sure to browse the winter market, and don’t forget to get your picture taken by the photo elf. He’ll even throw in a special festive border!

According to Kotaku, British Royal Navy sailors have been receiving PSP’s for free. Being forced to play video games would be a great experience but this is not the case. Sailors are utilizing the PSP in order obtain coursework and go over pre-test preparation while confined to their individual quarters. The article also points out that this direction by the British military is aimed at helping sailors/students get the most out of their studies.

As we all know the Black Friday weekend sales saw PS3 bundles flying off retail shelves at an insane clip to the point where BestBuy, Wal-Mart, Amazon and SonyStyle which all offered different bundles were eventually sold out. Now it seems Sony has definitely outdone themselves with their latest PS3 bundle which is currently only being offered at BestBuy.

Not that this should come as a major surprise to any well-informed gamer however, the Call Of Duty franchise has officially sold over $3 billion worth of titles according to Activision. With the recent gargantuan success of Modern Warfare 2 which surpassed $550 Million in sales in it’s first five days on the market, $3 billion should not be hard to believe.

The Call Of Duty franchise has become the premiere shooter franchise and does not seem to be stopping it’s unrivaled momentum anytime soon.

Thevolution Network wants to wish all of our readers and the entire gaming industry a Happy Thanksgiving. As we all celebrate another wonderful year of gaming, let’s be sure to be thankful for all of our many blessings.

According to Joystiq, Ubisoft is quite proud of their recent sales figures of Assassin’s Creed 2 which Ubisoft has estimated to be over 1.6 million copies sold in only it’s first week on the market. I believe it was Episode #21 of our weekly podcast where we gave Ubisoft some flack for not releasing a demo before launch. I guess Ubisoft knew something we didn’t. I am personally glad that Ubisoft is definitely seeing the fruits of their labor payoff despite the stiff competition from the likes Infinity Ward/Modern Warfare 2 which saw records breaking sales numbers.

Also Valve/Left 4 Dead 2 and Sony/God Of War Collection were both released on the same day as Assassin’s Creed 2 so these numbers are eye-popping. More importantly we just recently completed the story in Assassin’s Creed 2 and after 21 hours and 35 minutes we walked away saying, WOW! We can’t wait for Assassin’s Creed 3.

The amazingly talented developers over at Guerrilla Games will be commemorating the introduction of the KILLZONE universe November 26 as it is a special day. Five years ago on November 26 the original KILLZONE was unleashed to Playstation users in Europe and to celebrate the occasion Guerrilla Games has some cool updates in store for us over the next few days:

According to a recent twitter post, fans of the new and improved classic fighter TEKKEN 6 should expect a patch update on Thanksgiving day. Unfortunately for a lot of gamers who were trying to get the most out of the online experience, the stability was lackluster at best.

Regardless of the online issues I have to express that the game as a whole is probably one of the best fighting titles this generation. For all you TEKKEN fans and also newcomers to the title, TEKKEN 6 is an amazing fighter that should not be missed.
